Lunette Menstrual Cup Review
This is a girly post. Yes, this is me talking about girly month stuff. If you are not interested, please ignore this post! ... You are warned...
Just to let you know, I was not compensated or paid to do this review. I was looking for a menstrual cup to purchase, and this is what I purchased, and wanted to give you a review on the Lunette.
Here is my first video review [ever]. I think I sound nervous, just ignore that! It's 5 min. long.
If you don't want to watch the video... here is just an idea of what I talked about:
The last few months, I have been researching on these menstrual cups. I was tired of those days where I'm unsure if anything is showing, or consistently going to the bathroom to check if i need to change anything. Since I am [somewhat of] a runner, I don't like running with pantyliner, pads, etc.
I heard about menstrual cups a few years ago, but I really started to look into them few months ago.
After reading reviews and everything on menstrual cups... I decided on the Lunette menstrual cup.
I have gotten a chance to use it twice. I have to say, it was not as bad as I thought it would be.
At first, I thought it would be a little strange, which it wasn't that bad. It's easy to use, they give you picture instructions so you won't get too confused.
I wasn't sure which model to purchase. there are two models. 1 and 2. 1 is for light flow and for women who have never had intercourse. 2 is for normal to heavy flow.
well, obviously I have kids, but my flow is always light. So I decided to go for model 1.
After trying it, it was definitely the right choice.
I even had it in when I ran a few miles one day. I didn't even notice it!
I think it's the best feminine product I have ever purchased!
I really recommend it, and if you are looking for a menstrual cup or a different brand, try Lunette!
When you do try it out, let me know what you think!

Craft Apron Completed
Last week I had a craft show, and I kept losing my phone, pen, paper, etc. everything really.
I stitched together a craft apron last night. This is the first one that I made. So, there are some imperfections, but I think it turned out pretty well. It took less than 2 hours to measure, cut, and stitch. There is a zipper at the middle of the green part, it's hard to see... but it's there!
Total of 6 pockets (including 1 zipper pocket for the money)
Long strap to be tied in front (i like the tie in the front in case the tie goes out on the back, i don't want the apron to fall!)
I was originally going to use the sewing machine fabric as a my sewing machine cover, but I think this is cute too. I'll just have to go back and get some more!
I am going to try and get a tutorial together for this, but I am swamped with work and everything else in the next few weeks. So, you won't hear much from me, so if I forget by November, remind me!!
And for those who do not sew or have time to sew, I'll make more to list in shop.
So...

Yellow Tote and Craft Show
I'm a little late posting this.
This week was a little hectic. I was trying to prepare for the Shawnee Arts & Crafts Fair.
Cindy with FabTabulous and I shared a booth. If you don't know Cindy, you should! She's one of the sweetest person you'll ever meet, and she's the best booth partner anyone can have! This is our second time sharing a booth.
Here is our booth:
I love the way Cindy presents her items!!
I made a new tote for the show, but didn't take pictures of it... because I sold it at the show. I took pictures before it went to its new home.
The difference between this tote and the purple totes are that this one has feet on the bottom and a tab for closure. I should have its twin finished by this weekend.
I'm also working on patterns, and needing pattern testers.
Not too eventful weekend, but busy!

Pattern Testers Wanted!
I have been trying to get patterns started to sell in my shop. You know how you've been doing something for so long, you just think everything makes sense... I want to make sure it makes sense for everyone.
I started making instructions for the cosmetic pouches that I make.
So now, I'm looking for two - four pattern testers in each category:
Here are the requirements:
I started making instructions for the cosmetic pouches that I make.
So now, I'm looking for two - four pattern testers in each category:
- Beginner: just straight stitching is the basic of sewing for you
- Intermediate: you can do more than straight stitching, zippers don't scare you.
- Advanced: You're a pro at darting, sewing more than 2 layers is piece of cake, and faux leather does not intimidate you.
Here are the requirements:
- Let me know what you think your sewing level is (see above).
- You will need to provide your own machine, fabric, interfacing, etc.
- Send me an email with your review of the pattern. List where it is confusing, correct my grammar, etc. anything works. Nothing fancy, basically just let me know where you thought the instructions needs improvement. Be harsh if you'd like. I'll reply with questions about where I can improve and refine the patterns and instructions.
- You must be able to email me your review within 2 weeks of receiving the pattern.
- There is no reward other than that you will receive the final PDF version of the pattern + 1 when ready. If you have a blog, I will donate the pattern to your blog for a giveaway or you can give it to a friend. Totally up to you.
- I'd like nice photos for me to post on my blog and have it on my PDF file too and link back to you too (if you have a blog)
- It would help if you followed my blog in some way whether that's GFC, Google Reader, or however you'd like to follow... just so that you we can connect and I can pretend you're my friend. :) I'd like to get to know you too. You know, internet buddies.
You can either comment here (I have to approve all messages, so I won't reveal your e-mail address to everyone) or you can send me an e-mail here: ni.chern.designs (at) gmail (dot) com
I appreciate it! I'll post on here when I receive all the testers that I need!
Thank you!!

Baby Must Have - At Home After Birth
This one concludes the Top Baby Must Haves.
A lot of times you won't need to go out and purchase extra things for the right after the hospital because some nurses and hospitals are very generous that they will give you all that you need to where you wouldn't need to buy anything, but not all nurses and hospitals are like that. So, here are a few things that you need -- just in case.

1. Tucks with witch Hazel. Even if the nurses/hospital give you extra, it’s nice to keep this on hand.
2. Heavy flow night pads. Your preferred brand.
3. Squirt bottle to help clean. I’ve always had one from the hospital. So, hopefully they’ll give you one.
4. Pain Pills. I'm sure the doctor will give you prescriptions.

6. Water. You need to remember to keep hydrated. It’ll help avoid headaches, achiness, chapped lips, and help with breastfeeding.
So, check out the other Baby Must Haves (Diapers, breastfeeding, and general items).
Feel free to let me know what other essentials that you used and you recommend!

How to turn pant hangers into chip clips
Who like stale chips?!
I do know that I don't think they're very awesome.
I had a lot of pant hangers from getting new clothes for the boys. And obviously, we needed some chip clips!
First, let's get our supplies and tools.
1. hangers.
2. some kind of utility scissors. I found these in the tool box.
3. lighter or matches
Then grab the pant hanger, cut where you see the dashed line in the picture below
cut cut!
Now, we need to get rid of all the sharp points! Don't want to be hurting ourselves when we have an urge to eat some chips!
Not sure if you'd believe me because the next picture is totally awesome. I mushed camera between my chin and collar bone to take this picture (and the one above). Awesome, huh?
You probably want to blow out the fire when it's melting like crazy.
The plastic may still be hot. I laid the clip down to the opposite side (where I didn't melt the plastic), or you can lay it on a glossy magazine cover.
TA-DA!!!!
Pretty awesome, huh?

New Totes
I just finished three totes last night. I'll be listing them sometime this weekend. I need good sunlight to take photos, which the only time is the weekend for me.
They are similar to the one that I donated to Art Unleashed, except these have two small pockets under the zipper!
I am debating on just listing one, and having the other ones go to a consignment shop.
So? What do you think? :)
I'll be starting on some other totes with different fabrics soon. I'm trying to get a collection going on soon!
