I submitted my Zig-zag cheater quilt yesterday for the Spoonflower's weekly contest.
The colors were inspired by gemstones, and the gray is like the stone that covers the lines of rays from gems that shine through the cracks of the dark stones. So cheesy, huh?
What do you think?
You're probably wondering why i didn't do the zig zag all the way, huh? I wanted to do something a little different to keep it zig zag but also unique.
I'll let you know when it's time to vote! ;)
I'm excited to purchase this and make it my own quilt!

Spoonflower contest - bicycle
This week's contest (submission due 2/21/12) is bicycles, only 3 colors. I used gray, yellow, and lavender.
I have called this one Bicycle Built For Two. Reminds me of the song "Daisy Bell"
What do you think?
Go vote for your favorite bicycle fabric!

Spoonflower contest - outdated technology
I've been wanting to "design" fabrics for awhile. With technology these days, you really have to be jack of all trades. You have to know so many programs! I almost feel like I have to be a graphic design artist to do these things! Must know illustrator, photoshop, etc.
Nevertheless, I put together (after six hours) my "outdated technology" fabric.
Here it is: Floppy Disks meets Pop Art.
I have named it floppy floppy disk. I'm weird, but I'll say it in Adam Sandler's "Sloppy Joe" song. It makes me giggle.
I'm not sure when the contest will start, but I'll let you know when it does!
The contest is up and running! :)
