Spoonflower Zig Zag Contest

I submitted my Zig-zag cheater quilt yesterday for the Spoonflower's weekly contest.

The colors were inspired by gemstones, and the gray is like the stone that covers the lines of rays from gems that shine through the cracks of the dark stones.  So cheesy, huh?

What do you think?
You're probably wondering why i didn't do the zig zag all the way, huh? I wanted to do something a little different to keep it zig zag but also unique.

I'll let you know when it's time to vote! ;)

I'm excited to purchase this and make it my own quilt!

Floppy Disk fabric

So, you know back in the day... ok ok, it wasn't that long ago... it was more like a month ago. I designed a floppy disk fabric for Spoonflower's outdated technology. Yeah, I remember it like it was yesterday... [sigh]

ok anyway...

Well, another designer (Cherie from StudioCherie, who I admire very much) had purchased the fabric and created this masterpiece!

Hands down. It totally made my day today. You should stop by and tell Cherie that she's awesome for making such an awesome product with such an awesome fabric. lol, it's awesome. one more time, awesome.
