I bought my fabric yesterday! Pretty excited to start cutting and piecing it together.
The fabric on the far right will be the border and backing.
They are currently in the washer. After drying and ironing... these lovelies will be ready to cut!
As for the layout...
I had a general idea of how I wanted the quilt layout to be.
I wanted to mimic the Army ranks:
So, I did a quick sketch to either stitch the symbols or to actually cut each block.
After the quick sketch, I decided that the stitching will be much better for a beginner quilter like me.
I'm pretty excited :)
